Need to know

Prerequisites

  • The Data Model Manager software installed.
  • The Data Model Package to install.
  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 11 or above.
  • A zip file extraction tool.
  • For GUI installation, a file type association for jar files to open with a JRE is in place in your operating system.
  • Connectivity to the target database from the environment where the Data Model Manager is executed.
  • Access credentials to the database (username, password).
  • If using Oracle, Understand oracle installations.

You can obtain the CREATE and UPGRADE files from the Gas or Electricity Data Model folders on the Participant File Server:

System requirements

Like other Data Interchange products, the Data Model Manager runs on any operating system that can host a JRE.

Not required

There is no requirement for a native SQL client, the Data Model manager connects to the target database over JDBC.
